Student On Tenth Consecutive Week of Midterms

Midterms are never kind, but there is a small, elite faction of students whose midterms have been annoyingly spread out this semester. This is the most cruel punishment of all: Instead of having all their midterms around the same time, these students have had one midterm a week for ten weeks, including spring break. Evil doesn’t sleep.
This group of students have not had a break all semester. Rather than experiencing the horrors of midterms over the course of one or two weeks, having a gap, and then doing it again, the “rest” these students get is reduced to one week or even a couple days. We spoke with one student in this exclusive club, and this is all they had to say:
“Yeah, I’m probably gonna kill myself.”
Student services has offered some advice to people who are struggling with an odd midterm schedule, but it is clearly meaningless. Telling these students to “take time for yourself” is redundant and falls on deaf ears.
So, we here at the Doily Allergen have some words of wisdom: If you’re feeling stressed with midterms, just don’t take them! Boom, problem solved.
