Burge Walking Tacos Win Michelin Star

After years of tireless effort perfecting the best walking tacos, Clinton Street Market in Burge finally gets the acknowledgement it rightfully deserves: a Michelin star. A Michelin star judge, Michel Dubois, came into the market last Thursday, and after one delicious, warm bite, the star was given right away. Michel describes the experience as, “The greatest thing that has ever been inside my mouth.” 

But as members of the Hawkeye community, we are not surprised that the campus staple has won this prestigious award. We’re just surprised that it took so long. You can’t tell us that in a moment of desperate hunger, a shining beacon of light in the form of a Burge walking taco hasn't saved you from utter destruction. After years of saving starving students from getting too hangry, we at the Doily believe that the next award that these walking tacos should receive is a Purple Heart. Because who or what else has done as much work for the community as those delicious bags of goodies piled atop of a mountain of Doritos and Fritos?
